Computer Science began as a branch of Mathematics, while Computer Engineering began (and is considered by some) as a branch of Electrical Engineering.

Computer Science students learn about computer concepts,
software, standards, algorithms, data security and transportation, etc. (e.g.
laptops, mobile phones, laptops, servers, IoT devices). It also develops
firmware, an important type of software that allows applications and processes
to take full advantage of all devices.
