Cable Technician Job Summary
We have an immediate opening for an experienced cable technician. Join our site service team in serving commercial and residential couriers. Job responsibilities include installing new cabling systems, troubleshooting conventional systems causing problems, and repairing voice and data cables when necessary. You usually answer calls on your own, but some large jobs require a team of technicians. We prefer candidates who have at least one year of professional experience, but are willing to train the right person.
Duties and responsibilities of the cable technician
Install, maintain and repair internet and cable television systems
Pull, route, or tag CAT5 or CAT6 cable
Install support structures, including cable racks, J-hooks, brackets, and other associated structures
Carefully inspect the cable lines to make sure the system is working properly
Test and troubleshoot network communication
Repair poles and towers to solve wiring problems
