are entering a new world of "adaptive applications". That is what it
means.

believes that a key element of this higher degree of automation is to allow
application adaptation. Like living organisms, adaptive apps grow, shrink,
defend, and heal based on the environment they are in and how they're used.
This applies not only to existing companies with a complex mix of traditional
and modern architectures, but also to digital native organizations born in the
cloud.
Operability
beyond visibility
The
application delivery path has two walls. Between the first (which was a source
of much friction) development and production. And while DevOps methodologies
are starting to break down this barrier, the second is from production to
delivery to the consumer, but not easily.
